Christian Aid Week 10 – 16 May

For 2026, the focus is on Kenya. Fridah Moraa is a mother and grandmother who is the sole provider for her family. Determined Fridah sells vegetables that she buys as a wholesaler. It’s a two hour trip, six times a week. But Christian Aid’s partner, Beacon of Hope, is training aspiring urban farmers like Fridah to cultivate their own vegetables in small, unused city spaces. Fridah is now feeding her family with her own nutritious produce and selling it on her market stall to generate income. “Urban farming has changed my life.” If you would like to help, envelopes will be available on 10 May. If you prefer to pay by cheque, please make this out to “St. Leonard’s Parish Church”. Thank you for your support.
